Book Banning Protest on October 21

A dozen members of the Charlevoix Democrats Women’s Coffee group, protesting against book banning in downtown Charlevoix, received lots of friendly honks, waves & support Saturday. Protestors ranged in age from 6 months to 84 years old.

The demonstration on Oct. 21 also drew attention to State Rep. Neil Friske’s bill that would restrict access to targeted books and close libraries that don’t “comply.”
